Gesso Scratch

作品の主な手法は、オリジナルの『Gesso Scratch（ジェッソ・スクラッチ）』です。
手製のスクラッチボードとスクラッチペンを使って描いています。
2001年制作の《Cold Sleep》が、ジェッソ・スクラッチで描いた最初の作品です。
ジェッソ・スクラッチとは、透明アクリル板の裏側に、油絵の下地に使われるジェッソを塗り、その部分を削り、削ったところへ絵の具を塗って描くという手法です。


Explanation for the Drawing Method
The drawing method for my artwork is mostly “Gesso Scratch”,my original technique, in which handmade scratch boards and scratch pens are used.

I have been utilizing this gesso scratch method since 2001 and its first artwork  is Cold Sleep (2001).

Putting some gesso on the back side of an acrylic board as surface coat.
Scratching the surface of the gesso on the board with a scratch pen.

Painting/drawing by adding acrylic colors to the part where gesso is being pulled off.
